Jason Crabtree

By his early 40’s Jason had accumulated 20 years’ experience of the aerospace supply chain industry from SMEs to global primes.  At age 27 he was appointed MD by the new owners (Umeco) of a single-site UK supplier of aerospace sealing products with annual sales of $5M.  Over the following 10 years he transformed that company (Pattonair) into a $300M supply chain business operating on three continents.  In doing so he negotiated numerous complex world-wide agreements, an important element being new service offerings to cater for the demands of a rapidly centralising and globalising industry.

During this time four acquisitions were successfully completed in Italy, France and the United States.

Invited in 2009 by the owner of a small aerospace components distribution business that was in decline, Jason joined Apollo Aerospace as CEO and a major shareholder.  Over the years that followed he implemented a strategy that reversed the losses and increased turnover fivefold. In so doing he brought in new customers, opened activities in Poland and India, and attracted interest from five potential buyers, one of whom, Park Ohio Inc., purchased the company in 2014; it has now become part of the Group’s Supply Technologies Division.

Jason and his team have over the last few years built a thriving aerospace business in excess of $50M that continues to grow and develop around the World. However, having also co-founded ETL with Michael Smith and Adrian Jones, and helped launch it in 2015, he is now focused on creating a personal business portfolio, the central element of which is his executive directorship of ETL
