Because of the Directors’ deep knowledge of, and extensive contacts within, the Aerospace & Defence industries, plus personal business and financial responsibility at International Board level, ever since launching ETL in 2015 the Consultancy has been approached, often by an overseas company, to locate, advise on, or broker, potential acquisitions, partnerships and investments in these industries.  Three typical examples so far in 2017, have been one from India, and two from the European Union.  All involve long-term relationships that extend well beyond the initial acquisition, investment or partnership.  

The client’s reasoning here is straightforward.  Because of ETL's ability to assist almost any activity at Board level, from raising funds and making acquisitions, through developing and implementing the consequent and progressive business strategy (including growth, diversification and further acquisition) then helping develop to maximum effect the executives who are involved, to selling the company should that eventually be decided, the ETL : Client relationship becomes an enduring and very beneficial one to our clients.

We are currently assisting several such companies along this spectrum.  As time passes, and confidentiality allows, individual case studies will be released to provide further explanation.  Meanwhile, with the very substantial growth projections by Boeing and Airbus on the one hand, and PwC and Deloitte on the other, for the aerospace industry over the next 20 years, this service is also attracting Private Equity and HNWI funds.

Asian Acquisitions

In the late Spring of 2018 ETL was asked by one of our established European clients to help them undertake an acquisition in Singapore, a global finance, commerce and transport hub and, with the latter in mind, a focal point for aviation and aerospace in Southeast Asia.

The End Goal

Later this year, having started in 2016 to assist a very high-quality machining company transit a temporary aerospace downturn and, thereafter, grow substantially in terms of increased customers, orders, sales revenue and profit, ETL, led by Jason Crabtree
